Michael J. Aed
Michael J. Aed is a Central Valley based criminal defense attorney representing individuals arrested and accused of crimes. He practices in both state and federal court. Mr. Aed was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and raised in Southern California.
In 2002, Mr. Aed accepted a position with the Office of the Fresno County Public Defender. After only 9 months of successfully defending misdemeanor offenses, such as Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Mr. Aed was promoted to a felony assignment. Based upon his aptitude for negotiating favorable results and tremendous success with obtaining favorable jury verdicts, he quickly moved to the Major Crimes Team wherein he was responsible for handling the most serious allegations, including but not limited to Murder, Felony DUI, Robbery, Sexual Assault, and complex financial crimes.
After several years of obtaining successful results in the most serious of cases, Mr. Aed joined the firm of Ciummo & Associates in 2010. He was designated to handle the most serious offenses within the office. He is a death penalty qualified lawyer and is on the Fresno County Superior Court panel for appointment on special circumstance homicide cases.
